taxact schedule c
Is TaxACT any good? How does it compare?.
I'm thinking of using TaxACT to file my taxes this year because the free version allows you to file stuff like the 1040 Schedule C, and with other companies H&R, Turbo tax etc, you have to pay extra.
I've not used it before... A guy at work said he's used TaxACT and it seems to do a good job.
Anyone else use it? How would you say it compares to H&R block or Turbotax or any other companies tax form?
I tried out my return on all of them this year (sick of paying 300 bucks to get my simple return done)
They all came out fairly close to each other and just about as easy to use.
I ended up going with taxact and it was pretty simple.. I had 2 w2s and 2 1099s to file.
Id say have at it. I had no issues yet.. assuming my DD ends up in my bank its good for me. It was free to do the federal and I paid 15 to do my state too.. much better than the 300 I spend at h and r block or jackson hewitt in the last few years.
It took me less than an hour to put in all of the info for it if that matters.
