Income Tax Preparation
Would you seek an accountant or tax preparation service to prepare your income taxes?.
Hmmm. I am an accountant that worked in public accounting for 13 years. So, I guess my answer would be 'yes' since I take my taxes to myself.

Would I have to charge sales tax?.
I reside in washington state and my city tax is 7.9%. If I provide bilingual services, income tax preparation and notary public services, would I have to charge sales tax on that? I ask because I know that some of the tax preparation firms in my city don't charge me sales tax when I get my tax prepared by them, but that doesn't mean that they were not supposed to. Maybe they were supposed to, but weren't aware of that?
Service business such as tax preparation and notary services are not subject to sales taxes. Only sales involving goods being sold are sales taxed. In some states there are exemptions for groceries and drugs.
