Can I write a check for a later date on my Fed. Tax Return?.

I owe the IRS money as indicated on Turbo Tax. But I don't get paid until the first of May, can I write a check for the 1st of May but send the forms today?

The IRS has eminent Domain, If you write that check today, it will be processed today. I once knew a man who wrote a check for 6 months mortgage and put it into his envelope to the IRS, he lost his house. Eminent Domain means that they can do whatever they want to with your check.

When I worked for the IRS, I would keep a folder of post dated checks on my desk and deposit them on the date of the check. Government employers are not that conscientious anymore

Federal Tax Return Check 2010- Is the date scheduled to be mailed, the day you should receive it or mailed.?.

I filed my 2010 federal taxes on 26th of January. I opted for a check this year because a few years ago I had many problems with direct deposit. I e-filed or Turbo Tax once again this year.
I received my email that it was accepted, then i checked WHERES MY REFUND through irs,
first it said will be mailed on Feb 18th, then it said it will be mailed on the feb. 11th, then it said feb 8th and now it says feb 11th.
my question is --Is that schedule the date to be mailed or the day you should receive it. Because someone says refund checks are always received on a friday, any answers would be greatly appreciated. I am just in need of answers on this, has anyone received their paper check on th

I opted for a paper check also. My check was mailed on feb 4th. I was told they only mail paper checks on fridays.
