What's the difference between the TaxCut software you buy vs. the taxes you do online with HRBlock.com?.
Both are H&R Block, but the software for your PC is $45 and doing it online is $39.95.
Is there a difference, other than one is online and one isn't?
Thanks. I file married/joint with deductions, so I can't use the free ones. I thought you could do up to 5 free files with TaxCut, but only if it was immediate family. But if you can share it with friends, that might be an incentive to use it.One is installed on your computer and one is a web application.
From what I have heard, with TaxCut you can efile multiple tax returns (5 I think) for free this year. So if you are doing more than one return (kids, siblings, friends, etc.), TaxCut probably makes sense.
